- Can I use a household iron instead of a heat press?
- For a first test on cotton, yes, but irons have uneven heat and no pressure control, so results vary and peel sooner. A plate press is the first upgrade that pays off.
- Will a mug press work on any mug?
- No. Sublimation and Infusible Ink need mugs with a polymer coating. Standard ceramic mugs will not take the transfer.
- Do I need a heat gun and a press?
- Only if you do shrink-film, embossing or packaging work. For garments and mugs alone, a press is enough.
